Duane “Dog” Chapman took to Instagram on June 18, 2020, to share a sweet message of birthday wishes to his and Beth’s daughter Cecily.
Dog captioned the photo:
“Happy birthday to my beautiful daughter Cecily !! Love you !!!!”
Cecily replied to her dad on the post saying:
“Thank you dad love you to [sic]”
Cecily is Beth’s daughter from a previous marriage, however, Dog adopted her as his own after he and Beth married in 2006.
The past year has been a hard one for Cecily, since her mom, Beth, passed away on June 26, 2019, from complications of throat cancer. She was 51 years old.
She shared her feelings about the past year and recalled Beth’s last days in an interview with The Sun saying, “My whole world got flipped upside down and it was something that I was not prepared for.”

Cecily has chronicled her grief on her Instagram page, sharing memories and pictures of her mom.
She is now dedicated to keeping her mom’s legacy alive through the apparel line she created to commemorate her mom and by interacting with Beth’s fans online.

She admitted that it helped her to cope with the loss and gave her the motivation she needed to keep going.

This is Cecily’s first birthday without her mom, and Beth’s last post before she died was a birthday tribute to her daughter.
