Miranda Lambert may be preparing to release her album, The Marfa Tapes, in just a few days, but it seems like she’s already working on something new!
On Friday (April 3), Lambert’s good friend Ashley Monroe released a new album of her own, titled Rosegold. Lambert hyped up the record with a post on Instagram, writing, “Happy album release day to this angel! You always follow your art and it’s beautiful. Love you.”

Since Lambert mentioned Monroe, many fans were surely thinking about the Pistol Annies.
The Pistol Annies is a group comprised of Lambert, Monroe, and their other close friend, Angaleena Presley. They’ve released three albums together, and are known for feisty songs such as “Hell on Heels,” “Hush Hush,” and “Got My Name Changed Back.”
The trio’s last album, Interstate Gospel, was released in November 2018. It earned a nomination in the Best Country Album category at the 62nd Grammy Awards.

Now that a few years have passed since the Annies have released a new album, fans want to know if they’ll reunite soon. After Lambert posted about Monroe’s Rosegold, one person commented with the question everyone’s been asking.
“When are the Annie’s coming back!!!” the fan asked.
They actually got a response from Lambert, who made it sound like the Annies are working on a little something, though she didn’t say exactly what.
“we’ve got something up our sleeve,” she wrote alongside a fire emoji. Ashley commented a little further down in the thread, confirming what Lambert said with a simple, “yesssuhhhh.”
Only time will tell if that “something” Lambert is talking about is just a new song, or if it’s a whole new album.
We can’t wait to hear what the Annies have in store for us! How about y’all?
