Appearing on stage at one of the most unique and impressive concert venues our country has to offer, this superstar and two of her longtime friends pour their hearts out in a tribute to a legend taken far too soon.
Miranda Lambert has long been known to attribute much of her inspiration and success to the music from classic country artists that were storming the charts decades before she got her big break. One of the people who she’s often credited is Merle Haggard, and to show her immense appreciation, she unleashed this heartfelt performance of “Sing Me Back Home”.
Lambert appeared at Colorado’s famous Red Rocks Amphitheater with two of her closest country music friends, Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen, and together they gave this impromptu performance of Haggard’s unforgettable super-hit.
Immediately after announcing they would be performing a song of Haggard’s, the crowd roared to life with applause and cheers – only solidifying the decision for the trio. Their three-part harmonies and chilling melodies rang out through the venue – bringing tears to many and even getting the artists a little choked up themselves.
