The last time Miranda Lambert released a studio album was back in 2014, when she made waves with the chart-topping release of Platinum. Now, Lambert is poised to take country music by storm once again with her upcoming release, The Weight of These Wings.
Due for its big debut on November 18, The Weight of These Wings is a double album with a total of 24 tracks, including the smash single, “Vice.” Lambert also released another song, called “Keeper of the Flame,” ahead of the album’s debut.
As Lambert gears up for The Weight of These Wings to land in stores, she’s taken a big step in preparation for her future. As Music Row reports, Lambert has established her own record label imprint, called Vanner Records.
Lambert has been signed to Sony Music Nashville since 2004, and worked with them in order to create her own imprint. Randy Goodman, the Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Nashville, spoke about the new imprint, saying, “Re-signing Miranda to Sony Music Nashville and helping her create Vanner Records has been absolutely one of the highlights of my 15 months at Sony Music Nashville.”
It turns out that The Weight of These Wings will be released through Lambert’s new imprint, as will as RCA Records Nashville. She joins a long list of country artists who have created their own labels, including Gretchen Wilson and Ricky Skaggs.
We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Lambert, Vanner Records, and The Weight of These Wings! Enjoy listening to her newly-released song, “Keeper of the Flame” in the clip below.
Congratulations to Lambert on the formation of her new label imprint!
