No better way to celebrate!
Amid the hammering of retirement announcements, several beloved NASCAR drivers had some great news to share with the world as we kicked off this New Year, and we are all thrilled to hear it!
Along with legendary Dale Earnhardt Jr.‘s highly-publicized wedding on New Year’s Eve, fellow racer Kurt Busch also got hitched within just days of the New Year celebration – but their wedding had a couple surprises in store for attendees!
Firstly, Busch and his newlywed wife, Ashley Van Metre, welcomed around 30 guests to the stunning grounds of the St. Barthelemy’s tropical island. Surrounded by sparkling blue water, rainbows, and lush green vegetation, all who attended were greeted by breathtaking surroundings and celebrated and equally breathtaking occasion for the pair.

The ceremony, which took place on Saturday January 7th, was the culmination of their great efforts since announcing their plans to wed in the Caribbean last September. The pair welcomed 30 guests at their ceremony and FOX Sports reports that a separate party in Florida to accommodate nearly 300 people will see the celebration of their union closer to home.

While neither Van Metre nor Kurt Busch have said much about the celebration of their union on U.S. soil, it’s expected that the event has already taken place – and along with that celebration came a surprise for all who attended!
Legendary rocker-gone-country, Steven Tyler, was the act booked to help the newly-hitched pair throw the celebration of a lifetime with all their closest family and friends. Needless to say, the performance looked like it was truly an unforgettable time for all who attended!
Busch, revealed the surprise performance in a photo he shared on Twitter earlier today, adding “Big thanks to [Steven Tyler] for his legendary show [at] our wedding celebration! [Ashley Busch] and I had an epic time!”

What an amazing way to celebrate! We are so happy for these two and glad that they had such a great time during their special day!
Busch, who is the older brother of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, and his new wife, Ashley Busch nee Van Metre, have been together for some time now and even own a stunning lakeside home that they shared with viewers during a special Monster Energy special in November 2015.
Monster Energy has recently been named the new Cup Series sponsor for NASCAR, taking the place of long-time sponsor Sprint/Nextel.
