Pentatonix Performs National Anthem During Ravens Vs. Texans Christmas Day Game
Pentatonix wowed millions with their breathtaking rendition of the National Anthem before the Ravens vs. Texans game on Christmas Day this year.
This year marked the first time that Netflix aired two NFL games on Christmas Day. One was between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the other was between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans.
The Ravens vs. Texans game was held at NRG Stadium, the Texans’ home venue. Despite having the home field advantage, the Texans lost the game, with the final score being 31-2.

Someone else who “won” the day was a cappella group Pentatonix. The group, who makes almost all of their music with only the sound of their voices (and no instruments), won Season 3 of The Sing-Off in 2023.
Since then, Pentatonix has generated millions of views on their covers of popular songs. They won a Grammy in 2017 for their remake of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” which they recorded with Parton herself.
Pentatonix is also well-known for their Christmas music. Some of the most-viewed videos on their YouTube channel are their versions of “Carol of the Bells,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.”
How Fans Reacted To Pentatonix’s Performance
Considering their connection to Christmas, it made perfect sense to have Pentatonix perform the National Anthem at one of the NFL’s Christmas Day games. It was an extra meaningful performance for the group, which was founded in Arlington, Texas. Three of its five members are from “The Lone Star State.”
As expected, Pentatonix delivered a stunning rendition of the National Anthem that showcased their out-of-this-world harmonies. People in the crowd and on the sidelines stared in awe and wonder as they listened to the performance.
