Rebecca Robertson Loflin was the first of Korie and Willie Robertson’s children to have a child of her own. She and her husband, John Reed, welcomed their son Zane in January 2019.
Then in the fall of 2020, the Loflins discovered they were expecting again. They kept Rebecca’s pregnancy secret with the intention of surprising their families during the holidays.
But on October 29, Rebecca suffered a miscarriage. She opened up about the loss in an Instagram post she published a couple weeks later.
The Duck Dynasty star said she didn’t know if she would share the news with her followers. But she eventually decided to do so:
“…I thought maybe keeping it quiet I could pretend it never happen, and it will be less heartbreaking,” she wrote. “But the truth is, sharing it actually has helped me heal, recognize the lost & validate my sadness is the first step towards recovery. I also learned that, we will never fully understand the why’s, but I do believe in God’s goodness and we will never get the full picture of what we don’t see in the in between moments & His work in process.“

Now, after suffering so much heartache, Rebecca and her family have a reason to rejoice. They’re having their rainbow baby!
On Tuesday (July 27), Rebecca posted a slideshow on Instagram with the first photo showing her cradling her stomach while Zane and John Reed sat next to her. Zane was wearing a shirt that had “big brother” printed on the front.
“Here comes the sun,” Rebecca wrote in the caption along with a sun, baby, and rainbow emoji.
She said Baby Loflin is due in December…on Christmas Day!
“It’s been a very humbling journey for us since last October & a rollercoaster ride the past couple of weeks ( will share more on that later ),” Rebecca said, “but through every obstacles we continue to see God’s goodness through our little growing miracle!”

We’re so happy for Rebecca, John Reed, and Zane! We’ll be keeping them all in our prayers as they prepare to welcome their new family member this Christmas.
