Riley Green Is Making His Acting Debut In The Yellowstone Spin-Off, Marshals
The wait is finally over – we now know when Riley Green will make his highly anticipated appearance in Marshals.
Last month, the newest Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals, premiered. The series focuses on the returning character Kayce Dutton, and it follows his life as he navigates the challenges after the death of his wife, Monica. Kayce eventually leads a U.S. Marshals team in Montana.
Of course, longtime viewers are seeing a few familiar faces since the show is a follow-up, but it also introduces many brand-new characters as well.
Among them, there’s one person fans are especially excited to see.
When the show released its very first trailer for season one, some eagle-eyed fans saw something that almost went unnoticed: a very brief, blink-and-you-miss-it scene featuring Riley Green.
Naturally, this had fans going absolutely wild about the possibility of seeing him in the western drama. And although this hinted at his acting debut, CBS didn’t officially confirm anything at the time. It wasn’t until late February that the series announced his involvement.
Green’s character was teased in an Instagram photo showing him on set, and the post also revealed that his character’s name would be Garrett.
This is Green’s first acting role, and it’s a pretty big one to land without prior experience. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the show’s premiere, the “Worst Way” singer shared that he was introduced to the opportunity by his longtime friend and the show’s star, Luke Grimes.
The two are friends in real life and have even worked together before, since Grimes is also a country singer. When Green mentioned his interest in acting, Grimes helped connect him with an audition, and from there, everything moved fast.
“[I] flew out here and read for it on [a] Saturday and flew back and started filming for it on Monday. So it was a quick thing,” he said.
What Episode Will Riley Green Appear In?
As time went on, more details about Green’s character were revealed.
He will portray a Navy SEAL with a troubled past. Looking for someone to lean on, he ends up stopping by his old friend Kayce’s ranch.
The show has been releasing new episodes for over a month now, and it’s already on episode six. So, fans have been wanting to know when they’ll finally see Green on their screens.
Well, there’s no need to wonder anymore, because we finally have an exact date.
According to TV Insider, Riley Green will make his first appearance on Marshals in the episode airing on Sunday, April 19.
After that, it’s still unclear how many episodes he’ll appear in or how big his role will be moving forward. But who knows, maybe if viewers really connect with him, he could become a series regular.
Marshals airs every Sunday at 8 PM/ET, and streams the next day on Paramount+.
