Fans mourning the loss of Joey Feek, whose life was ripped from this Earth this past March after a long struggle with cancer, will soon be able to relive the magic of the departed country singer in an upcoming film To Joey, With Love.
Drawn from extensive footage Rory Feek filmed of their time together, To Joey, With Love begins before the birth of daughter Indiana in February of 2014 and runs all the way up to Spring 2016. The emotional documentary captures the emotional ups and down they went through during Joey’s battle with the cancer that ultimately took her life.
“They got to see Joey die. To see her face death bravely and pass to the other side with honor,” Rory writes on his blog regarding the massive media draw the couple received during the end of his wife’s life. “But I’d like for people to have the chance to see my wife live. To see the incredible woman that she was before the doctors said there was nothing more they could do… so they can better understand the amazing impact she’s had on me and everyone around her after she learned that the end was coming.”
To Joey, With Love is dated for a special two-night theatrical release on September 20 and again on October 6.
“My wife will get the chance to live again,” says Rory. “On a movie screen, her heart will start beating and her story will come to life once more and it will be my gift to her.”
