Republican candidate Donald Trump was elected the 45th President of the United States, edging out the Democratic elect Hillary Clinton. In the wake of one of the most surreal election years in American history, a nation divided is working towards rebuilding the bonds broken between both parties. Rory Feek, known for his well-spoken nature, revealed his opinion on the matter.
“Everything’s going to be okay, even if it’s not okay,” wrote on his blog, This Life I Live. “Sometimes things happen in life that don’t seem to make sense, and they’re scary, because you don’t know what the future holds.”
Feek, who recently lost wife and singing-partner Joey Feek early this year to cervical cancer, goes on to explain that sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. The country singer went on to explain that while the state of the world may seem dark and scary, “God has a plan bigger than the one I can see and I have to trust Him.”
Feek recently released the film he produced in honor of his late wife, To Joey, With Love, chronicling their emotional journey in the last few years of her life.
