Collaborators On His Upcoming EP Include Country Acts Hootie & The Blowfish And Lee Brice
Following the release of his 2024 album Rise & Fall, Scotty McCreery has been hard at work, touring and recording.
In May, he released a song called “Bottle Rockets,” featuring Hootie & the Blowfish.
Now, it’s clear that summer anthem may have been just the first taste of a larger project, as Scotty announced on Thursday, June 26, that he’s releasing a new EP in July.
Titled Scooter & Friends, this EP will see Scotty collaborating with some of his friends, namely Hootie & the Blowfish, Lee Brice, and Charlie Wilson.

“Once Upon A Bottle Of Wine” And More
Set for a July 18 release, the announcement of this eclectic assemblage of collaborations finds Scotty also releasing a track from the EP.
On June 28, Scotty released a new song from his upcoming EP, “Once Upon A Bottle Of Wine,” featuring Charlie Wilson.
While Charlie Wilson is not a country artist, this is not the first time that Scotty and Charlie’s paths have crossed.
In 2015, Scotty made an appearance on stage at a Charlie concert in Scotty’s home state of North Carolina.
Humorously changing the lyrics of “Charlie, Last Name, Wilson,” Scotty sang, impromptu, “My name is Scotty, last name, McCreery.”
Needless to say, the crowd was impressed.

As for Lee Brice, Scotty has performed with him on several occasions, including an acoustic show in December of 2022 which found them taking crowd requests together.

While waiting for the release of the EP Scooter & Friends, give “Bottle Rockets,” featuring Hootie & the Blowfish singing a newly recorded rendition of the chorus to “Hold My Hand,” another spin, here:
