During Season 16 of The Voice, then-new coach John Legend started a series on his Instagram called “Trailer Talk,” where he would film a short behind-the-scenes show from his trailer.

He would have a guest on each episode and they would chit chat about a few things and then duet to a song. Last year he had Blake Shelton, the Songland cast, and even his wife Chrissy Teigen on!

Check out his first episode from last year below.

He continued “Trailer Talk” for his second season as a coach on The Voice, and released the first episode the day after the Season 17 two-night premiere. To kick things off for the season, John had his three fellow coaches – Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, and Gwen Stefani.

Because Gwen was the “new” coach, although it’s not her first time coaching, John talked a lot with her about returning to The Voice and her start in the music industry with her band No Doubt.

The coaches, accompanied by John on the keyboard, busted out a rendition of Stefani’s 1995  No Doubt song “Don’t Speak,” which she wrote with her brother Eric. The song spent 16 weeks at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Airplay chart, and was about her breakup with bandmate Tony Kanal after seven years together.

Gwen took the lead and Kelly sang high harmonies while Blake and John chimed in here and there with supporting vocals.

Gwen started the song, “You and me, we used to be together,” and Blake sang, “Thank God you’re not together!”
