Shania Twain Will Mentor The Top 10 Contestants On American Idol

Country music stars Shania Twain and Scotty McCreery are both set to appear on an upcoming episode of American Idol.

Idol revealed its Top 10 contestants on Monday night (April 22). Those contestants are Emmy Russell, Mia Matthews, Abi Carter, Will Moseley, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper, Julia Gagnon, Kaibrienne, McKenna Faith Breinholt, and Kayko.

The Top 10 will perform again on Sunday (April 28). Each contestant will sing a song released during their birth year.

American Idol announced Shania Twain will mentor the Top 10 while they prepare for their next performances.

Are the Idols going to impress @shaniatwain much?” Idol captioned a post on Facebook. “Find out this Sunday LIVE at 8e/5p on ABC! Stream on Hulu.

Fans expressed their excitement in the post’s comments, writing:

Twain will be the perfect mentor for the Idol Top 10. She has sold over 100 million albums over the course of her career. This makes her one of the best-selling singers ever, not just in country music.

She also has five Grammy Awards and has been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. To top it off, Twain has successfully maintained a residency in Las Vegas, and has a new one kicking off in May!

Idol Alum Scotty McCreery Will Return To The Show As A Guest Performer

Scotty McCreery will also appear on Idol as a guest performer. He’ll share a performance of his new single, “Slow Dance.” You can familiarize yourself with the song by listening to the clip below.

The song is featured on McCreery’s upcoming album Rise & Fall.

McCreery can relate to the contestants since he previously competed on (and won) the show’s tenth season. Now, he’s a brand-new member of the Grand Ole Opry!
