Who Are The Castellows?
Country trio The Castellows have earned lots of praise for their gorgeous rendition of the National Anthem at the Atlanta Falcons game on Sunday (January 5). But longtime fans of the group know that such stunning performances are standard for them.
The Castellows is a group comprised of three sisters from Georgetown, Georgia: Eleanor “Ellie,” Lily, and Powell Balkcom. Eleanor and Powell also have a triplet brother who is not in the group, while Lily is one year younger than them.

Ellie told The Red & Black that she and her sisters named their group The Castellows after their great-grandmother’s maiden name.
The group first rose to fame after sharing cover songs online. They caught the attention of folks in the music industry, and signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville and Warner Records.
The Castellows’ debut EP, A Little Goes a Long Way, dropped on February 9, 2024. The project produced the singles “No. 7 Road,” “Hurricane,” and “I Know It’ll Never End.” Then, the latter song earned a nomination in the Digital-First Performance of the Year category at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
Additionally, The Castellows have amassed a large following online. They have over 1.5 million follows on Instagram and over 541,000 followers on TikTok.
The Castellows Earn Praise For National Anthem At Atlanta Falcons Game
Now, the sisters’ following will surely grow even larger after their stunning National Anthem performance.
As Georgia natives, The Castellows were honored to have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at the Atlanta Falcons game on January 5. The sisters held hands as they sang a cappella and showcased their beautiful harmonies.
Fans were amazed by the group’s performance. Some said it was one of the best versions of the National Anthem they’ve ever heard.
The sisters also shared a video of their performance on social media:
“First time ever singing the national anthem DONE! Big thanks to the @atlantafalcons for letting us help close out the @nfl regular season…” they wrote. “We were honestly so scared for this one but we made it and are so proud to honor our country in this way.”
