The Voice Makes Plans For Next Seasons & Names Coaches
The Voice often has to think ahead. The blind auditions, battles, and knockouts are pre-filmed, usually months before a new season starts airing. Sometimes, seasons can overlap as auditions are filmed for one season while another season is in live shows.
With that in mind, it makes sense why The Voice is already thinking about Season 25…even though Season 24 hasn’t started yet!
We’ve known for some time now who’s coaching Season 24. Reba McEntire is taking the spot left vacant by longtime coach Blake Shelton. Gwen Stefani, Niall Horan, and John Legend will round out the coaching lineup for Season 24.

The chair will house a duo acting as one coach, giving the contestants on their team a two-for-one deal. We’ve seen the double chair on international versions of The Voice, but never in the U.S.
Who Is Coaching The 25th Season Of The Voice?
When The Voice unveiled its coaching lineup for Season 25 on Thursday (June 22), they made history by announcing the first ever DUO to serve as coaches. So who is that duo?
Country music fans are sure to recognize the pair that will occupy the first-ever double chair. That seat is going to Dan + Shay, known for their hits such as “Tequila” and “10,000 Hours.”
In addition to Dan + Shay, The Voice revealed that McEntire and Legend are returning for Season 25. The fourth and final coach will be Chance the Rapper, who coached Season 23.
