‘The Voice’ Reveals Coaches For Next Season

The Voice / Facebook

The 16th season of The Voice isn’t quite over yet, but the show is already thinking about Season 17. There are eight singers left in what might be the most controversial season in the show’s history.

This season, The Voice introduced a new element of competition called the Cross Battles, where instead of the usual Knockout Round, where singers compete against their own team members, so there is an equal amount of singers from each team going into the live shows. The Cross Battles had teams going up against each other, and left some coaches with significantly less singers than others.

For instance, Blake Shelton‘s eight singers came out unscathed, while Adam Levine went to the live shows with just four singers. Kelly Clarkson and John Legend each had six singers advance.

Shelton and Levine are staples of the show and have appeared on every season, while Clarkson joined in Season 14 and has been on three seasons in a row. Legend joined the trio this year for the very first time.

Well, The Voice just announced that Shelton, Levine, Legend, and Clarkson are coming “back for more” and will be all returning for Season 17!

This marks the first time since Season 3 that all four coaches are returning for a consecutive season.
