The Voice crowned its 22nd winner during Tuesday night’s season finale.
Season 22 of The Voice came to an end Tuesday night (December 13) after a dramatic and performance-filled two-night finale. Only three of the four coaches were represented in the finale (Gwen Stefani’s last artist was eliminate during the semi-finals) that featured five artists. Competing for the coveted trophy were:
Bryce Leatherwood (Team Blake)
Bodie (Team Blake)
Brayden Lape (Team Blake)
Morgan Myles (Team Camila)
Omar Jose Cardona (Team Legend)

During Monday night’s episode, each finalist performed two songs…one “uptempo song that really showcases who they are as artists,” as host Carson Daly worded it, and “one song as a special thank-you to the people and places that mean so much to them.”
Country music fans have historically voted in droves, and with three country artists in the finals (Leatherwood, Myles and Lape), there was a great chance that we were going to see another win for Team Blake. Or, first-time coach Camila Cabello was going to get her first win.
Carson Daly narrowed down the field throughout the night with the first elimination being Team Blake’s Brayden Lape. That announcement was followed by the news that Omar Jose Cardona earned a 4th place finish. Unlike previous seasons, Daly went straight to the winner announcement without declaring who finished second or third place.

Bryce’s win earned Blake Shelton his 9th career win on The Voice!
Bryce Leatherwood earned a 3-chair turn during his Blind audition with a beautiful cover of Conway Twitty’s “Goodbye Time.”
The 22-year-old Georgia native wowed the coaches and the audience throughout the season with his pure country sound and consistent performances. We look forward to hearing more from him in the future!
