The Days Leading Up To A Thomas Rhett Single
After a week of buildup, Thomas Rhett has finally released his single, “Unforgettable” in July 2017.
Rhett first teased the song through a short clip he shared to his social media accounts on July 21. He revealed that the song would make its debut a week from then, on July 28.
“Unforgettable” served as the second single off of Rhett’s album, Life Changes. The first single, “Craving You,” was a number one hit for Rhett and featured artist Maren Morris.
Including the singles, Life Changes sports a total of 14 tracks, ten of which were co-written by Rhett.
His father, country singer-songwriter Rhett Akins, was featured on one of the tracks, titled “Drink a Little Beer.”
A Song That Isn’t Easy To Forget
As for “Unforgettable,” it is all about celebrating the seemingly small, but meaningful moments in life. Rhett sings to the girl he loves in the song, telling her how much he remembers about all of the special times they’ve spent together. As he sings, “I can still smell your perfume. Girl, that night was just like you, unforgettable.”
To go along with the song’s release, Rhett also debuted a brand new lyric video. Like the song itself, the video is fun and celebratory, and features clips of Rhett and his band performing at their concerts.
But the true star is Rhett’s wife Lauren Akins, who appears in various clips throughout the video.

The couple can be seen frolicking on the beach together, hanging out with their dogs, and spending some quality time with their daughter, Willa.
A Sweet Family Video
One particularly sweet moment comes closer to the end of the video. The clip shows Rhett and Akins in Times Square on News Years Eve, where Rhett was one of the scheduled performers. As the clock struck midnight, the couple shared a long, passionate kiss.
But the cutest part came when Rhett realized that he had a bit of his wife’s lipstick on his own lips. He made it clear he didn’t mind, because he leaned in and snuck another smooch.
