Anyone who knows anything about Toby Keith knows that the “A Few More Cowboys” singer has a big heart. He is a strong supporter of our nation’s troops, and has performed for them overseas on multiple USO tours.
Toby is also active in encouraging the importance of music education. He once filmed a PSA for Little Kids Rock, which its website describes as an organization that “transforms lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools.”
As much as Toby has done to help others, he’s now calling on his fans to help him help someone close to his heart. In a post Toby shared on Facebook on Wednesday (December 14), he revealed that one of his friends is in need of some prayers right now.
“Prayers up for my girl Valerie,” Toby wrote, sharing that Valerie is the sister of his “lifelong friend” Yancy. Toby said that many of his fans would know Yancy well “from the road.”
According to Toby, Valerie’s been going through some tough times and is in need of some prayers. “She’s had a rough go lately and so we just want to wish her well on her road to recovery,” he wrote.

Well wishes and prayers for Valerie came flooding in from Toby’s fans, proving that his message of kindness toward others is one they have adopted into their own lives.
To go along with his song “A Few More Cowboys,” Toby has been drawing attention to everyday heroes or “cowboys” that are out there in the world right now. He does this through weekly posts on Wednesdays, which he he tags as #TKCowboysInAction.
One of the “cowboys” Toby drew attention to on his page was Fay Fincher. Toby praised her for her heroic actions after she saved two-year-old Billy Miller’s life back in the 1970s. 45 years later, Billy still had no idea who the mystery woman was that saved him. They finally reunited this year, and it was that story published by ABC News that Toby shared with his fans.
It was a reunion 45 years in the making but Billy Miller finally got his wish. He finally got to meet the mystery woman…
