The cost of a thirty-second commercial averages around eight million dollars. Companies are willing to make such a significant investment because the Super Bowl can attract hundreds of millions of viewers.
These ads compete not only for company exposure but also for the title of the best Super Bowl ad each year.
This year, according to Ad meter—a survey by USA Today used to evaluate the ads—here are your top ten commercials.
10. Pfizer – “Knock Out”
Pfizer released an advertisement for an anti-cancer treatment that follows a young boy on his journey. The boy, who is obsessed with boxing, ultimately triumphs in the end.
9. Hellmann’s – “When Sally Met Hellmann’s”
Hellmann’s released a commercial featuring a couple at dinner, where the wife has an inappropriate reaction to the brand’s mayonnaise.
The ad stars Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, paying homage to their iconic film When Harry Met Sally.

8. Uber Eats – “Century of Cravings”
Uber Eats secured 8th place in an advertisement featuring Matthew McConaughey.
The ad claims that football has been subtly correlating itself with food to encourage fans to buy more food.
7. Bud Light – “Big Men On Cul-De-Sac”
Bud Light brought in Post Malone and Shane Gillis as party masters who created an epic bash in their Cul-de-sac.
6. NFL – “Flag 50”
The NFL released a commercial to promote girls’ flag football as a varsity sport in all 50 states.

5. NFL – “Somebody”
“Every kid can be somebody. If they have somebody to show them the way.”
The NFL also released a commercial to encourage kids that they can be somebody.
4. Stella Artois – “David And Dave”
David Beckham and Matt Damon star in a Stella Artois ad about two twins separated at birth. Once the brothers reunite, they struggle to connect but ultimately bond over their shared love of Stella.

3. Michelob Ultra – “The ULTRA Hustle”
Catherine O’Hara and Willem Dafoe star as pickleball hustlers in the beer ad that was chosen to be the third best ad this year.
2. Lay’s – “The Little Farmer”
Lay’s chose to tell a heartwarming story about a little girl who wants to follow in her dad’s footsteps and become a farmer.
She plants a special potato seed and protects her little sprout through seasons and storms. The ad concludes with photos of actual farmers from whom Lay’s sources its potatoes.
It’s easy to see why America voted this ad the second best.

Budweiser shared the story of a Clydesdale foal making its first delivery. This heartwarming tale secured the first place spot. Watch below to see why.
