Tour The ‘Pioneer Woman’ Set For Free

Ree Drummond has plenty of savory and sweet treats for visitors to indulge in while visiting Pawhuska, Oklahoma, but for fans of The Pioneer Woman, there’s one special stop that you will not want to miss.

Ree Drummond opened a series of eateries and a “cowboy luxury” hotel called, The Boarding House to give fans the ultimate adventure while visiting her hometown. Still, Ree’s husband, Ladd, came up with an idea to take the experience a step further.

Ladd suggested that Ree allow fans to tour the famous Lodge. Ree and Ladd renovated the Lodge in 2008 to be utilized as a guesthouse, but instead, fans will recognize the building as the set for Ree’s Food Network series. The Lodge serves as a prep space, prop room, test kitchen, and office area.

“The Lodge is 18 miles out of town on an unpaved road. I thought somebody would get a flat tire,” Ree admitted in her blog The Pioneer Woman. “But Ladd pointed out that people are coming all the way to Pawhuska to visit our store and restaurant. He wanted to expand their experience.”

Thanks to Ladd, hundreds of people tour the Lodge every month. During the tour, fans can rummage about the Lodge and poke through the pantry. Visitors are also encouraged to write and hide surprise notes for Ree to find.

Swipe through photos of the Drummond Lodge below.

During tour days, the Lodge is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and free tickets are available at Ree’s restaurant, The Mercantile.
