At most of country star Travis Tritt’s shows, you will not only see him perform, but you will also be treated to the sweet sounds of his daughter, Tyler Reese.

She has followed in her dad’s country-singing footsteps and is proving that she’s got what it takes to succeed in the country music business. We first heard of Tyler’s singing talents when she joined her father on a recording of the Patty Smyth and Don Henley duet “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough.”

During a show in February 2018, when Tyler was just 19, she showed off her vocal prowess while covering Miranda Lambert’s song “Tin Man.”

Lambert released “Tin Man” as the third single off her 2016 double album The Weight of the Wings on April 3, 2017, the day after she performed a stripped-down version at the ACM Awards.

It was nominated for Single of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards, as well as Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Although “Tin Man” didn’t come out victorious at either awards show, Lambert did win Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards.

Covering Miranda Lambert is not an easy feat, but Tyler was able to hit every note with the necessary emotion to tell the story of a woman telling the Tin Man he is lucky to have no heart because he can’t experience heartbreak.

Watch Tyler perform “Tin Man” in the video below.
