On Monday (February 12), the country music community learned the devastating news that Daryle Singletary had passed away. The 46-year-old was one of the leading voices in country music throughout the 1990s and 2000s, with hit songs such as “Too Much Fun,” “I Let Her Lie,” and “Amen Kind of Love.”
Rumors concerning Singletary’s death started circulating early Monday morning. The news was eventually confirmed by McAlpin Entertainment. The organization wrote that Singletary had passed away that morning, and asked his fans to pray for his wife and children.

It didn’t take long for the country music community to react to the news of Singletary’s passing. Heartbroken stars flocked to social media to express their shock and sadness. Everyone from country legends to more modern stars seemed to have something to say about Singletary and the role his music played in their lives.
“Rough morning for me,” wrote Josh Turner. Referring to Singletary as one of his all-time favorite artists, Turner shared that he was a huge part of the reason why he decided to move to Nashville.
