This made Reba McEntire the second Voice coach to have both the winner and runner-up on her team. Blake Shelton previously accomplished the same feat during Seasons 3, 18, and 22.
HaVon gushed about his coach in a post he shared on social media after his big win. He wrote:
“Thank you to Mama @Reba. You have changed my life and created a milestone in my life that I will have forever. I am your son for life.”
What Is The Best Advice Asher HaVon Received From Coach Reba?
HaVon praised his coach even more during a recent call into The Kelly Clarkson Show. As a former coach who led four contestants to victory, Clarkson knows all about winning The Voice!
Clarkson wanted to know all about having McEntire as a coach. She asked HaVon, “What’s the best advice that you think she gave you?”
He knew the answer right away. “You know what, the best advice that Reba gave me was to just trust my gift,” he said.
Clarkson also asked HaVon what he plans to do next. He shared his desire to record a lot of “big ballads,” which he loves singing.
