From the moment she took the stage for her blind audition, it became clear Voice contestant Kyla Jade was a force to be reckoned with.

Since earning her place on Team Blake with her powerful rendition of Aretha Franklin’s ”See Saw,” the Kansas-native has earned her way into the live playoffs of Season 14 of The Voice. Vying to maintain her spot in the competition, Jade selected classic hymn ”How Great Thou Art” for last night’s (April 16) live performance.

“I thought I had a good team, honestly, but I didn’t realize you were all that freakin’ good,” Blake said. “You find out what these guys are made of in these live rounds. All six of you stepped up to the plate.”

While her fellow teammates performed expertly, Jade’s performance was enough to make her the first member of Team Blake to advance into the Top 12.

You can hear Jade’s take on ”How Great Thou Art” below.
