McGraw & Hill: Awards Show Fixtures
Every time a country awards show rolls around, there are some stars you can almost always count on seeing. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are two of those.
Within recent years, McGraw and Hill have been awards show fixtures. McGraw has generated a number of award nominations following the success of his single “Humble and Kind,” making him a frequent awards show attendee.
As a couple, McGraw and Hill have performed at many recent awards shows. Since coming together for a combined tour and album, interest in the couple and their music has reached a new high.
Couple Nominated For 2018 ACM Vocal Duo
When it came time for the 2018 ACM Awards, it was expected that McGraw and Hill would show up. Although they did not have a performance slot, the couple was nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year.
This nomination was notable, since McGraw and Hill were the only non “official” duo, such as Florida Georgia Line or Dan + Shay.
The award ended up going to Brothers Osborne for the second year in a row, and was presented before the ceremony. Even though the award wasn’t broadcast, fans were still expecting to see McGraw and Hill at some point during the night.
But They Were A No-Show. Why?
However, by the time the last star walked the blue carpet, fans noticed that McGraw and Hill were mysteriously missing. We never saw them during the ceremony itself either, which is unusual since we’re almost always guaranteed to see a shot of them in the crowd.
Once the show wrapped up, questions starting pouring in. Where were McGraw and Hill, and why weren’t they at the ACM Awards?
Finally, McGraw offered up an explanation with a photo he shared on Instagram on Monday (April 16). The photo shows McGraw and Hill in swimwear, with McGraw sitting in the water while Hill plants a kiss on his forehead.
“hangin wit my girl… in our favorite place,” McGraw wrote.

It seems safe to assume that the “favorite place” McGraw is referring to is the Bahamas. The couple owns a private island and luxurious vacation home there, and often retreats to their tropical abode for some much-needed rest and relaxation.
If they were in the Bahamas, then it makes perfect sense why McGraw and Hill wouldn’t want to leave! Just check out their tour of their private island below to see what we mean.
We sure missed seeing McGraw and Hill at the ACM Awards, but we hope they are enjoying their vacation!
