The People’s Choice Country Awards are returning, but they’re switching things up with a new host this year.

Last year, the People’s Choice Country Awards debuted with their inaugural ceremony at the iconic Grand Ole Opry. It was a memorable night dedicated to celebrating country music’s brightest stars, with all winners chosen by fans’ votes.

The 2023 People’s Choice Country Awards drew nearly 4 million viewers, so it’s no wonder that the awards show is coming back for a second round. The ceremony was hosted by Little Big Town and featured standout performances by Carly Pearce, Wynonna, Blake Shelton, Jelly Roll, and others.

During the event, Wynonna and Toby Keith received the Country Champion and Country Icon Awards. Keith also performed his song “Don’t Let the Old Man In,” which became especially memorable as it marked his last televised performance before he passed away a few months later.

Even though Little Big Town did an amazing job hosting the show last year, they’ve chosen to hand over the reigns for this year’s event. Another beloved country music sensation will take on hosting duties for this year’s celebration.

The 2024 host for the People’s Choice Country Awards will be…

Shania Twain!

The People’s Choice Country Awards made a big announcement on Friday, July 12, unveiling that Shania Twain will be the host for this year’s ceremony scheduled for Thursday, September 26. Fans and viewers can catch the excitement live on NBC or Peacock starting at 8/7c.

Leading up to the event, voting for the award winners will kick off on August 14, allowing fans to have their say in honoring their favorite country music stars. Stay tuned for more updates as details about performers and presenters are expected to be revealed closer to the date.
