Cass Warner, Mother Of Yellowstone Star Cole Hauser, Dies At Age 76

Cole Hauser is mourning the death of his beloved mother, Cass Sperling Warner.

Cass was a member of the famous Warner family. Her father Milton Sperling was a producer and screenwriter for 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. He married Betty Warner, the daughter of Henry Warner. Henry co-founded Warner Bros. and served as its president until 1956.

Cass followed in her famous family members’ footsteps. She also pursued a career in production and co-founded the film production company Warner Sisters.

Cass Warner Married Actor Wings Hauser In 1974

Cass married actor Gerald Dwight “Wings” Hauser in 1974. Wings became known for his roles in projects such as Tough Guys Don’t Dance, The Young and the Restless, and Roseanne.

Cass and Wings welcomed their son, Cole Hauser, on March 22, 1975. The couple divorced in 1977.

In addition to Cole, Cass had three more children: daughters Vanessa and Tao, and son Dylan. She shared how much she loved being a mother and grandmother on the Warner Sisters website.

Cass would visit Cole on the set of Yellowstone, and Cole valued that time with his mom.

Cole Hauser Shares News Of Mom’s Death With “A Heavy Heart”

Cole Hauser announced on Instagram late on Wednesday (March 13) that his mother, Cass Warner, died at the age of 76. He shared a photo of them together on the Yellowstone set.

Cole wrote:

“It is with a heavy heart that my mother. Cass Sperling Warner passed away at the age of 76. Her kindness, love, humor and amazing spirit will be missed by not only my family but the world. You have touched so many. I know you will be up in the heavens sitting next to all the great humans that have passed through our earth. We will meet again. Bye for now.”
