Yellowstone‘s fifth season is longer than any other. The supersized Season 5 has been split into two parts, with its first part wrapping up with a midseason finale episode on January 1.
Now, viewers have months to wait until Yellowstone is back with new episodes. The show said it will be back in the summer, though an exact return date was not named.
Since fans have a long wait ahead of them, they’re understandably anxious to know everything they possibly can about upcoming episodes of Yellowstone. Unfortunately for viewers, it seems even the show’s stars don’t have any idea what’s coming next.
Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton, was recently a guest on The Tonight Show. During his visit, Grimes detailed what he knows about the show’s future…but it’s not much.
“Do you know what’s going to happen?” Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon asked Grimes.
“No, I don’t,” Grimes replied.

Although Grimes doesn’t know a lot about Yellowstone‘s future, he likes it that way. He said:
“I don’t want to know the ending. I don’t think Taylor [Sheridan] who writes our show wants me to know either. Just, I don’t know, it might affect the way you do something, or play something, and it’s kind of fun to experience it this way anyway.“
While Grimes may be in the dark aboutYellowstone‘s future, he believes other cast members know more than he does. “I think some of the cast know the end, you know, some have been told, some haven’t,” he said.
If some of the cast members do know what’s happening in future episodes, we highly doubt they’ll spill the beans. That would ruin any suspense or surprise!
