2020 was a trying year. It was also the year that a number of country singers welcomed new babies into their families.
These babies served as the bright lights in their parents’ lives in the midst of this difficult time. The littlest members of the country music community also brought joy to fans, who delighted in seeing their birth announcements and all the subsequent photos.
With the year now at its end, we wanted to spread further happiness by compiling this list of 20 babies born into the country music community in 2020. We’ve also included the babies’ first photos (or one of their earliest photos) so you can look back and see how much they’ve grown.

Boston James Boyd

Craig Wayne Boyd, who won Season 7 of The Voice, now has quite the brood! He and his wife Taylor welcomed a baby boy named Boston James on January 2.
Boston is Craig and Taylor’s third child together. They also share daughter Dakota and son Graydon. Craig has an older son, Jaxon (age 8), from a previous relationship.
“Boston James Boyd made us a family of six and we couldn’t be more excited!” Craig wrote alongside the first photo he shared of his baby boy after his birth.
Daisy Love Rempel

Curtis Rempel of the duo High Valley welcomed baby #3 with wife Myranda on January 6.
Myranda gave birth to a baby girl, who she and Curtis named Daisy Love. She joined big sister Millie June and big brother Ben.
Daisy was born three weeks earlier than expected. Curtis referred to her birth as a “surprise” when he shared her first photos.
“…we couldn’t be more in love,” he captioned the sweet snapshots.
Luka Roman Gracin

American Idol alum Josh Gracin and his wife Katie welcomed a son in 2020. Luka Roman Gracin was born on January 13 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Josh also shares daughters Brianna, Gabriella, and Isabella with his ex-wife Ann Marie.
The “Nothin’ to Lose” singer was obviously overjoyed about the birth of his first son. When he shared Luka’s first photo he wrote that he and Katie were “beyond blessed” to have him in their lives.
Pepper Lynn Ballard

“Sunshine & Whiskey” singer Frankie Ballard and his wife Christina became first-time parents this year. Their daughter, Pepper Lynn, was born on February 8.
Frankie and Christina didn’t share a picture of Pepper when they announced her birth. Instead, Christina posted a picture of a tiny leather jacket and a pink bandana with a floral print.
“Pepper Lynn you’re a precious angel and beautiful gift from Heaven and I love being your Mommy,” she wrote.
A month after Pepper was born, Frankie and Christina shared her first public photo, which you can see above. “I’m very blessed by my Partner, my Family, and our Baby Girl…” Frankie said in the caption.
Lennon Love Akins

Thomas Rhett lives in a house full of women! He and his wife, Lauren, share three daughters, Willa Gray, Ada James, and Lennon Love.
Lennon’s middle name is fitting considering the fact she was born on February 10, just days before Valentine’s Day!
Lauren referenced Valentine’s Day when she posted about Lennon’s birth on Instagram. She shared a slideshow of photos taken of Lennon with her, Thomas, Willa, and Ada and wrote, “Our early Valentine baby was born yesterday, February 10th and her sisters couldn’t be happier to finally get to kiss her little face.”

Dan + Shay‘s Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah welcomed their second child on February 21. Hannah gave birth to a baby boy named him Ames Alexander.
Ames joins big brother Asher James, who was born in 2017.
“You are already so loved,” Shay said in a message to his baby boy when he announced his birth on social media. “I’m so proud to be your dad. And you have have the best momma on planet earth.”
Shay shared several photos of Ames after his birth, including a family portrait with Hannah and Asher.
Naomi Bettie Allen

“Best Shot” singer Jimmie Allen and his fiancée Alexis Gale welcomed a baby girl on March 1. Naomi Bettie is the couple’s first child together. Jimmie has a son, Aiden, from a previous relationship.
Naomi was born on the same day Jimmie’s single, “Make Me Want To” became a #1 song. It was quite the eventful day for him!
“I though getting a No. 1 was going to be the best part of my day, but then my daughter, Naomi, was born,” Jimmie said when he called in to the The Ty Bentli Show.
Jimmie didn’t share any pictures of Naomi after her birth, but Alexis did post a few snapshots in a slideshow you can see above.
Brody James Akins

Both Thomas Rhett and his father, Rhett Akins, welcomed new babies this year!
Rhett and his wife, Sonya, had a son named Brody James on March 13. That means he’s actually younger than his nieces Willa, Ada, and Lennon!
Brody is Rhett and Sonya’s first child together. Rhett shares Thomas and a daughter named Kasey with his ex-wife Paige Braswell.
When introducing baby Brody to the world, Sonya said he was “perfect in every way!!!!” His first pictures are adorable!
Hayes Andrew Hurd

This bouncing baby boy belongs to not one, but two country singer parents! Hayes Andrew Hurd was born on March 23 and is the firstborn child of Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd.
Maren deleted the post she used to announce Hayes’ birth, but Ryan kept his up. The simple post contains two pictures, with the first showing him holding Hayes in his arms.
Ivy Ray Rigdon

Voice alum Gyth Rigdon and his wife Bayleigh welcomed their first child this year. Bayleigh gave birth to a baby girl, Ivy Ray, on May 13.
“From the moment I held her, she captured my heart and soul and my life now has new meaning — best day ever,” Gyth told PEOPLE.
Gyth also posted Ivy’s first photo on his Instagram page, which shows her wrapped up in a blue blanket with white stars.
Luck David Abbott

Josh Abbott and his wife, Taylor, welcomed their first son this year. Luck David was born on June 10, and weighed exactly nine pounds.
The couple also shares a daughter, Emery.
Josh was happy to introduce his son to the world a couple days after he was born. “I have a son!” he wrote alongside Luck’s first photo. “Brought a little Luck into this world.”
Indigo Wilder

Morgan Wallen became a first-time father this year when his ex, Katie Smith, gave birth to their son, Indigo Wilder. Indigo, or “Indie” for short, was born on July 10.
In his post announcing Indie’s birth, Morgan said he was “a changed man.” He wrote an ode to his firstborn child, saying, “Since you came into the world Friday, I see mine differently now. It’s not just me anymore, and I’m glad it’s not.”

The Pitney family is now a party of four!
Mo Pitney and his wife, Emily, had a baby girl on July 14. They named her Audra Elaine. She joins big sister Evelyne Nadine.
Mo told Taste of Country that Emily had a “pretty difficult” delivery because of how Audra was positioned. But she pushed through, and Mo was “absolutely amazed” by her strength.
The family posed for a group photo after returning home with Audra, and they used that photo to introduce her to the world.

Via a post on Instagram, Dwight Yoakam announced that he and his wife, Emily, welcomed a baby boy on August 16. They kept Emily’s pregnancy a secret, so the news came as a complete surprise to fans!
Emily gave birth to a baby boy she and Dwight named Dalton Loren. He is the couple’s first child.
Dwight hasn’t posted any pictures of baby Dalton. He announced his birth by sharing a couple pictures of Emily right before they left for the hospital to welcome their baby boy into the world.

“Yours” singer Russell Dickerson and his wife Kailey are another pair of first-time parents in this list. Their son, Remington Edward, was born on September 10.
“We can’t imagine a life before you and it’s only been a few days,” Russell wrote in an Instagram post that contained one of Remington’s first photos.
Russell referred to how challenging the year had been, but said Remington made it much brighter. “2020 might have seemed like a drought year but then Remington showed up. Bearing fruit in a year of drought,” he said.

FGL‘s Tyler Hubbard and his wife Hayley had three kids under the age of three after welcoming their newest addition, son Atlas Roy, on September 24.
The couple also shares daughter Olivia and son Luca.

Zac Brown Band‘s Clay Cook and his wife, Brooke, are now outnumbered! They share three children: sons Theron “Teddie” and Charles “Charlie” and their newest addition, daughter Cecilia Ellen.
Cecilia was born on September 25, which appropriately was National Daughter’s Day. She is also the first baby girl to be born in the Cook family since 1930.
“We have always hoped for the opportunity to raise a strong girl alongside her two sweet brothers,” Clay wrote on Instagram next to one of his daughter’s first photos. “The fact that she came to us during this year is a blessing not lost on us.”

David Nail and his wife Catherine were overjoyed to announce the birth of their baby girl Ellie Britton on October 19. David and Catherine have two older children: twins Lawson and Lillian.

“Stealing Cinderella” singer Chuck Wicks became a first-time dad when he and his wife, Kasi, had a baby boy just a few weeks before Christmas. Their son Tucker Elliott was born on December 4.
Kasi (who is Jason Aldean‘s sister) has three daughters from her previous marriage to Bill Morstad. She adopted his two daughters Madison and Makenzie (whose mother passed away) and she and Bill share daughter Avery.
So Tucker is the only boy in the family!
“The feelings that are going through me having a son and holding him for the first time skin to skin yesterday… well…. I just lost it,” Chuck wrote on Instagram next to Tucker’s first photo. He’s thriving in his new role as a father!
These newest members of the country music community have won over so many hearts in such a short time. We know they made our year a little brighter.
