In April, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani‘s “Nobody but You” reached the #1 spot on the Country Airplay chart. The song received a boost in the months of March and April after Shelton and Stefani delivered a number of at-home performances for programs such as ACM Presents: Our Country, The Voice, and even the Grand Ole Opry.

The romantic duet was the couple’s third collaboration, with its predecessors being 2016’s “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” and 2017’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas.”
Since so much time passed between the releases of “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” and “Nobody but You,” no one ever expected to hear a new Shelton/Stefani duet anytime soon. So you can imagine how surprised country fans were when the couple announced the release of a new collaboration…and it will be here within days!
On Monday (July 20), Shelton teased his new collaboration with Stefani in a post on social media. “Real excited to share this one with y’all and honored I was able to talk @gwenstefani into doing another song with me!” he said.
He also shared the new duet’s title, which is “Happy Anywhere.”

“Happy Anywhere” was written by Ross Copperman, Josh Osborne and Matt Jenkins. The song is all about how having the right person by your side can make you feel happy no matter where you are.
With the current world environment in mind, the song struck a chord with Shelton. Speaking about how everyone has been staying home for most of this year, he said in a press release:
“…hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around. That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer — and this entire year.“
Because of this year’s circumstances, Shelton believes “there’s never been a better time for” people to hear a song like “Happy Anywhere.”
The song’s release date is Friday (July 24). Shelton and Stefani will also perform the song on Today that day.
When addressing the release of “Happy Anywhere” in her own social media post, Stefani wrote, “yes please @blakeshelton so excited and grateful about that this song!” We too, are extremely excited to hear what “Happy Anywhere” is like.
