Have mercy! Country crooner Brett Young is a married man. The singer married his longtime girlfriend, Taylor Mills, Saturday in California, PEOPLE reports.
The 37-year old “In Case You Didn’t Know” singer met Mills more than 10 years ago where she was attending college in Arizona. They dated for six years and even moved to Los Angeles together. When Brett moved to Nashville to get his country music career off the ground, Mills stayed behind. But, she was never far from his mind. Young admits that most of his first record was about her.
After a three year break, the two reconnected and knew that it was the right time to be together.
“We recently got back in touch and realized that we were both finally in the same place and knew it was right,” Young told PEOPLE following the couple’s February engagement.

Young and Mills wed in a stunning ceremony held in Palm Springs, California, Saturday (November 3). More than 200 family and friends were in attendance, including Young’s fellow country singing pal Lee Brice and pop star Gavin DeGraw who performed at the wedding reception.
The ceremony was officiated by Young’s father, who is a minister, and his manager Van Hazellit. According to PEOPLE, the couple chose not to have a first look prior to the ceremony.
“I wanted the first time I saw her to be when she walked down the aisle,” says Young.
Young and Mills told PEOPLE that they are anxious to start a family together, so perhaps 2019 will bring baby news for the pair!
“We’ve been together for a long time and we do want kids soon,” says Young. “This is the beginning of our life together, and I’m excited to say husband and wife!”
