Carrie Underwood is poised to make a big announcement tomorrow (April 21), and fans can’t contain their excitement.
Just one day after she blew everyone away with her performance at the ACM Awards, Underwood took to social media to tease some “exciting” news.
She posted a short, four-second video of herself in the midst of a colorful setting. Upbeat music plays while Underwood admires a pink, glowing butterfly that lands in her outstretched hands.
“I’m all aflutter with something exciting coming April 21,” Underwood captioned the clip.

At first, fans speculated that Underwood is preparing to release new music. But since she just released her gospel album, My Savior, in March, that seems unlikely.
Other fans quickly caught on to the fact that Underwood wasn’t the only person who shared a video like this on April 19. Celine Dion also posted a four-second clip with similar music, and said she too, is going to announce something on April 21.
This video shows Dion standing in a room that is clearly Las Vegas themed, with large poker chips and neon signs depicting different playing card suits.
“A little teaser for a fabulous reveal on April 21,” Dion captioned the video.

He captioned the clip, “Excited to show you something cool on April 21.”

So what does this mean in relation to Underwood’s teaser?
Fans were quick to conclude that Underwood may be hinting at an upcoming residency at Las Vegas’ new Resorts World Las Vegas resort that is opening in June. This assumption is further supported by a March report from The Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The publication said Underwood, Dion, and others were among artists “name-checked” as “likely Resorts World headliners.”
Also, Zedd’s bio on both Twitter and Instagram already indicates he is preparing for a residency at the resort.
“New Vegas residency with @zoukgrouplv starts THIS SUMMER at @resortsworldlv,” his bio reads.
We can’t wait to see if Underwood will also have her own Vegas residency! Based on her performance at the ACM Awards, we know she certainly has the star power and talent for it.
