For the first time in over 25 years, someone has broken this long-standing record that sounds like it’s almost impossible to even achieve!
A few months shy of exactly 26 years ago, Garth Brooks broke a record for occupying the top three spots on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and for the week dated February 10, 2018, Chris Stapleton has become the first artist to do so since.
At Jan. 28’s Grammy Awards, Stapleton swept every award he was nominated for: Best Country Album, Best Country Solo Performance, and Best Country Song. His wins, and his incredible performance of Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers” with the legendary Emmylou Harris, likely helped boost his album sales, which allowed him to break the seemingly impossible feat.
Stapleton’s latest release From A Room: Volume 2 is sitting pretty at the number one spot, with 2015’s Traveller reaching number two, and From A Room: Volume 1 at number three.

This hasn’t happened since the week of April 11, 1992 when Garth Brooks’ 1991 release Ropin’ The Wind, the previous year’s No Fences, and his 1989 self-titled album were numbers one, two, and three on the chart, respectively.
