Chris Stapleton appears to be up to something.

On Monday (August 24) the “Tennessee Whiskey” singer posted a new video on social media that had fans freaking out. The mysterious clip shows various images, including horses, bugs, and flowers.

Among these images, we see footage of a choir singing and witness Stapleton performing in a recording studio.

The clip ends with a black screen and the numbers 11.13.20. These numbers clearly seem to indicate that Stapleton is gearing up for something big to come on November 13, 2020.

Of course, people quickly assumed this something Stapleton is hinting at is a new album. It has been three years since his last release, which was the Grammy-nominated From A Room: Volume 2.

Whatever it is that Stapleton has in store, his fellow artists are ready for it:

Saving 2020!” commented Maren Morris.

READY!” wrote Raelynn.

stoked,” said Margo Price along with a fire emoji.

Those were just three of the many comments on Stapleton’s new video. But if you ever want to look back at other comments on his past posts, you’re out of luck.

Before Stapleton released his new video, he erased all of his old posts on his social media profiles. Now, the only post you see is the new video he just shared.

His profile images are blank, though on Twitter you can zoom in and make out some text…Chris’ name and something that appears to say “starting over,” though the first few letters are cut off.

We already know that “Starting Over” is the title of a song in Stapleton’s repertoire. He performed the unreleased track with his wife Morgane during a benefit show in Nashville in February 2020.

Could “Starting Over” be the title track of a new Stapleton album?

***UPDATE***

He also shared a sample of the song, and promised “New music this Thursday at Noon ET.” So stay tuned for that new music!
