Danica Patrick has spent the last couple of months self-reflecting, and the former NASCAR driver knows what she wants in her next relationship.
Previously, Patrick, 38, dated Green Day Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for about two years. The couple called it quits in July 2020, and seven months later, news broke that Rodgers had gotten engaged to actress Shailene Woodley. Following the engagement news, Patrick began to share photos from a trip to Egypt and inspirational posts about looking within.

On Friday, Patrick virtually appeared on The Tamron Hall Show and gave fans insight on what she wanted out of her next relationship. The Pretty Intense podcast host explained that she knew a lot more about what she did not want in a relationship. Patrick also explained that the next person she dated would be “an extremely high-quality” individual.
“You know what you don’t want, so you know what you do,” Patrick stated. “And so maybe it’s not necessarily that they have their work cut out for them, but that they’re going to be an extremely high-quality person with a lot of boxes to check.”

While Patrick does not want to compromise on critical qualities, the NASCAR driver also understands that her other half will be imperfect. Patrick stated:
“Once I have healed, and I have processed and I have accepted the imperfections that exist within me, I now give permission for the other person to be imperfect, and I also don’t see their flaws as much.”
