This week was supposed to be a happy one for Duane “Dog” Chapman. The Dog the Bounty Hunter star is set to marry Francie Frane on Thursday (September 2).
The couple has been getting fans excited about their upcoming nuptials. Dog created quite a stir when he shared a photo of himself posing next to a bright orange tux while holding up a matching hat and shoes.
Of course, his fans immediately thought of the tux Jim Carrey wore in Dumb and Dumber. They questioned if Dog was seriously going to wear the tux at his wedding or if he was just messing around.

Unfortunately, Dog’s wedding week now has a cloud of sadness over it. On August 31, just two days before his wedding, Dog shared there was a death in his family.
Asking his followers to “please pray,” Dog said his brother-in-law had passed away that day. Dog’s brother-in-law was married to his younger sister, Paula.
Alongside a photo of Paula and her husband, Dog wrote, “Please pray for my little sister Paula her husband left for heaven today.” You can see Dog’s post about his brother-in-law’s death below.
Dog received a wealth of condolences from his followers, who said they’ll be praying for him and his sister in the wake of his brother-in-law’s death. We too, are sorry to hear this sad news, and will be keeping the Chapman family in our prayers.
