More than 140 feet above a deep river, the bridge is very much a heart-stopping height above the earth – something many people wouldn’t even consider jumping off.

The Kawarau Bridge in Queenstown, New Zealand has been open since 1988 and is known for being the world’s first commercial bungee-jumping location.

At a staggering height of 141.07 feet, this stunning bridge straddles a canyon with a crystal blue river running through it and offers thrill-seekers an experience like nothing else in the world – including Danica Patrick.

Danica Patrick and boyfriend Aaron Rodgers have been vacationing in New Zealand for the last few days and have already been doing plenty of fun things, including kayaking by waterfalls and taking in incredible views.

One new thing to mark off of her bucket list – bungee jumping!

“I am scared of heights…so the most logical thing I could think of to help get over that – was bungee jump,” she says in the caption of a photo showing her leaping from the bridge and plunging, arms wide, toward the beautiful river below.

But, it appears that even though she took the leap of a lifetime – it didn’t cure her fear of heights…
