Some of this year’s biggest and most-viewed music videos came from female artists across the genre – both tenured and fresh-faced!

During the last six years, powerhouse vocalist Carrie Underwood has taken home the honors for Female Video of the Year every single time – but this year, she wasn’t even nominated in the category.

Check out the full list of this year’s nominees below!

2021 CMT Female Video Of The Year Nominees

  • Gabby Barett – “The Good Ones”
  • Kelsea Ballerini – “Hole in the Bottle”
  • Carly Pearce – “Next Girl”
  • Maren Morris – “To Hell & Back”
  • Mickey Guyton – “Heaven Down Here”
  • Miranda Lambert – “Settling Down”

Following some thrilling performances and exciting wins earlier in the ceremony, Gabby Barrett was honored with the award for Female Video of the Year!

This marks Barrett’s second time winning a trophy at the CMT Music Awards. Last year, she took home the trophy for Breakthrough Video of the Year for her music video for “I Hope.”

That was the first-ever award Barrett ever won, which led to a number of other award wins at the ACM Awards, the Billboard Music Awards, and the iHeart Radio Awards.

Now, she can add another trophy to her collection with her Female Video of the Year award for “The Good Ones.” It came as no surprise that fans voted for her video to win, since it currently has over 30 million views on YouTube. Watch it below!

Barrett was unable to attend the CMT Music Awards this year due to “personal circumstances,” so the award presenter Gladys Knight accepted her trophy on her behalf.
