One of the biggest awards events of the year took place Wednesday night (June 9) in Nashville as country music’s only fan-voted awards show crowned winners for some of the year’s biggest performances.

One of the highlights of the annual event is the winner announcement for Male Video of the Year. The 2021 nominees in this category included a powerhouse of talent. The nominees were:

Chris Stapleton – “Starting Over”
Darius Rucker – “Beers and Sunshine”
Kane Brown – “Worship You”
Luke Bryan – “Down To One”
Luke Combs – “Lovin’ On You”
Thomas Rhett – “What’s Your Country Song”

While all of these videos were deserving, only one winner could be crowned. That winner was….KANE BROWN!

While accepting the award, Brown, who co-hosted the show alongside Kelsea Ballerini, admitted that the moment was the most nervous he’d been all night before thanking his team, his wife and their daughter, Kingsley, who appeared in the video.

The win marks the second win in this category for Kane who previously won in 2019 for “Lose It.” Brown, who also hosted the awards show alongside Kelsea Ballerini, also won Collaborative Video of the Year along with Chris Young earlier in the night. He is still up for the night’s biggest award, Video of the Year, for “Worldwide Beautiful.”
