On New Year’s Eve 2019, many fans tuned into NBC’s live coverage in New York’s Times Square hosted by Carson Daly and Julianne Hough.
The telecast featured performances by X Ambassadors, Brett Eldredge, Julianne Hough, Ne-Yo, Leslie Odom Jr., Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and The Struts.
Daly, Hough, and correspondent Stephen “tWitch” Boss from The Ellen DeGeneres Show were live from New York, as were several performances, but it turns out a few singers pre-recorded theirs.
Two performances that were pre-recorded were Shelton and Stefani’s. They spent the New Year’s holiday in Oklahoma with their families and were watching the NBC New Year’s Eve special from there.

During her performance of “Hollaback Girl,” Shelton was dancing up a storm and fans were loving every second!
He busted out the air guitar while wearing camouflage coveralls and a baseball hat and showed off his silly moves, which was making everyone crack up. The next video showed him in a football helmet!
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Shelton dance, he’s busted a few moves on The Voice.
