This season of American Idol has not only had the judges swooning over the contestants but the viewers begging for more. Laci’s Unique Sound

Since her first audition, Booth has been stealing hearts. The blonde beauty performed a breathtaking cover of Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried,” literally leaving the judges in awe. As she advanced on to the next round of the competition, she only brought more fire to the stage.

Keeping up her reputation for crushing classics, Booth performed a rendition of Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind” just a couple weeks ago but proved just how far she can go when she took on a modern hit, “Mercy” alongside country star, Brett Young last week.

While country music is her original style, she has been stepping out of her comfort zone by serving the audience endless surprises. Her latest performance took her back to the early 2000s with one of the most popular songs of its time.

Switching Gears

Booth took on American rock band, Blink-182’s heartbreak ballad, “I Miss You.” Standing center stage with just a microphone, she began to serenade the crowd with a slowed-down version of the song. Guided by a guitar and violins, her angelic voice gracefully soared throughout the venue.

Following her performance, the judges only had incredible things to say about the aspiring star. After telling Booth that she “sings timelessly,” Katy Perry even went as far to say that she is “the definition of Idol.”
