Since Yellowstone has been a summer series for the last three years, fans assumed it would again premiere in the summer of 2021, but there was no announcement of a Season 4 premiere in the Spring.
We knew filming was pushed back just a bit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we didn’t think it would affect the premiere date so much! On July 1, the Yellowstone social media accounts shared a one-minute video with the caption “Revenge is coming,” which answered some questions, the main one being: When will Season 4 premiere?! We now know that Season 4 will debut on November 7 and based on the trailer, it looks amazing.
While the season three finale of the popular television series endangered the lives of three main characters, the upcoming season is adding new faces to the cast. According to Deadline, actress Jackie Weaver will portray Caroline Warner, whose goal will be to crush John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) hold on the Montana ranch. Kathryn Kelly, who previously appeared in Nashville, will play a vet who forms a relationship with one of the ranch’s cowboys, and Finn Little will play a young man whom the Duttons give a home.

One other character is joining the cast to shake things up is Piper Perabo’s character named Summer Higgins. She is an activist who is against industrialized farming in Montana and she has at least one interaction with someone from the Dutton ranch.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Perabo says, “When John Dutton or Rip [Cole Hauser] want to get rid of people, they talk about taking them to the train station. I don’t want to be taken to the train station!”
There is also a first look photo that was shared with EW of her character, which shows her in handcuffs…it looks like she has shaken things up already!
