The Story Behind “You Make It Easy”

“You Make It Easy” was the perfect song for Jason to sing to Brittany onstage. The romantic song was released in January 2018 as the first single from Jason’s album Rearview Town.

Jason didn’t write the song, but some of his friends did. Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard teamed up with Morgan Wallen and Jordan Schmidt to write it.

“You Make It Easy” features tender lyrics such as:

You’re my sunshine in the darkest days, my better half, my saving grace. You make me who I wanna be. You make it easy.”

The song struck a chord with listeners. It reached the #1 spot on the Country Airplay chart and peaked at #28 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“You Make It Easy” remains a fan-favorite song and is a regular part of Jason’s live performances. Watch him deliver an intimate rendition of the track for CMT Campfire Sessions in the video below.
