Jason Aldean’s birthday post for his oldest son, Memphis, included a surprising confession about his marriage.

Memphis turned three years old on Dec. 1st, and Aldean created an appreciation post for his little boy to mark the day. In the post, the country star shared photos of his little boy from most recent to oldest. Aldean gushed:
“Hard to believe it has been 3 years since this little guy came into our lives. He is wild, headstrong and all boy and I couldn’t be more thankful for him.”

Aldean has four children, including two daughters from a previous marriage. The country singer and his wife, Brittany, share Memphis and a 22-month-old daughter, Navy, but Aldean revealed that he once feared he and his wife would never have children of their own. The “She’s Country” singer shared his confession with fans on Instagram. He wrote:
“For awhile, @brittanyaldean and I weren’t sure we would be able to have a baby, so the fact that we now have 2 is a blessing to us both and we never take one day of it for granted.”

Despite the couple’s fears, Memphis and Navy were born with the help of in vitro fertilization. Aldean has remained open about his personal life and struggles, which is relatable to many fans.
