Kane Brown‘s sophomore album, Experiment, was released in November 2018. We’d say the Experiment was a success, since the album topped both the Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200.

Now, just a little over a year after Experiment‘s release, Brown appears to be readying new music for an upcoming project. His single “Homesick” debuted in August, and he hasn’t had a new single since.
One likely candidate for Brown’s next single could be a song he wrote for his nearly three-month-old daughter, Kingsley. Appropriately titled “For My Daughter,” the song has Brown promising to be the best dad he can be.
Or another potential single could be a new song Brown shared a sample of on social media. We don’t know the title yet, but we do know it features one of the brightest stars in the music industry…John Legend.
Yes, you read that right. Brown recently wrote and recorded a new song with Voice coach, EGOT winner, and reigning “Sexiest Man Alive” Legend. In fact, their duet was written and recorded on the same day, which was January 8.
The two singers previously met up on the set of The Voice in December, where they sang Brown’s song “Good as You.”
Maybe that December meeting on The Voice inspired the two artists to get together for a songwriting and recording session? If it did, then they got a new song out of that meeting!
Brown is understandably thrilled about his latest collaboration with Legend, saying on Instagram, “I GOT TO WRITE WITH HIM AND WE BOTH LOVE THE SONG...”
Legend soon followed up with comments of his own. He also gave an indication of when we can expect the song to be released in full, writing, “Will put out the full version asap.”
