Kelly Clarkson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony held on Monday (September 19). Since she was the first winner of American Idol, all three of the show’s original judges (Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Paula Abdul) reunited at the ceremony to celebrate her achievement.

ET quotes the speech Cowell gave during the ceremony. He gave credit to Clarkson for Idol‘s longevity and for his own career success.

And I remember that moment when your name was called [as the winner] and I was…I was honestly thinking to myself, ‘Thanks to you, we may have another season,”” Cowell said. “I can honestly say to you, ‘Thanks to you, I’m here today.'”

The unveiling of Clarkson’s star comes not long after she celebrated the 20th anniversary of her Idol win.

Clarkson’s family was also on hand to celebrate with her during the ceremony. She was joined by her two kids, River (age eight) and Remington (age six).

Variety shared a short video that shows River and Remington posing for photos in front of their mom’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Clarkson later shared how much it means to her to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She said:

“…it meant so much to have y’all there and it was so cool to celebrate with y’all! Here’s to the next 20 years!!…by the way, my star is between Harry Potter and Deadpool ….I dare anyone to top that!

She also shared a photo that shows her kneeling in front of her star. The smile on her face says it all! See that picture below.

Congratulations to Clarkson on this outstanding achievement!
