Swims also started releasing singles in 2019 and dropped his debut EP, Unlearning, in 2021. But he didn’t experience chart success until 2023, when his single “Lose Control” took off to the stratosphere.

“Lose Control” reached the #1 spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has since been certified 6x Platinum by the RIAA.

Swims has experienced continued success with subsequent singles, including “The Door” and “Bad Dreams.” Both tracks peaked within the Top 10 on the Hot 100.

Despite being considered more of a pop artist, Swims has worked with several country singers. Some of his country collaborators include Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Mitchell Tenpenny, and Jessie Murph.

Swims joined Rhett to perform a mashup of their duet, “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Woman” and Swims’ “Lose Control” during the CMA Awards in November 2024. Their performance was hailed as one of the highlights of the night. Revisit it below!
