Luke Bryan was working double duty during the 2022 CMA Awards! He was one of the scheduled performers…and he was a host!
2022 was Bryan’s second year hosting the CMA Awards. He hosted solo in 2021, but was joined by new co-host Peyton Manning for 2022.

Bryan stepped away from his hosting duties for a moment to perform his Top Ten single, “Country On.” The song was released on July 5, 2022 as the lead single off of a yet-to-be released album.
“Country On” reached the ninth spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and peaked at the 72nd slot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Bryan performed in front of a giant sign that said “Country On,” which sat in front of a makeshift city scene. The performance itself was as energetic and as fun-lovin’ as you’d expect. People in the crowd could be seen smiling and bopping along to the song the entire time.
