It wouldn’t be the 2018 CMA Awards without Luke Bryan. We all knew he would put on quite a show, but he went above and beyond during this performance!

Country’s Heartthrob

Luke Bryan has made his way into the homes and hearts of Americans all across the nation. From his pearly-white smile to his booty-shakin’ moves, he knows how to captivate a crowd.

An American Idol

On top of being a musician (and great dancer), Luke has also been a judge on the hit TV show, American Idol. Along with legendary Lionel Richie and pop sensation, Katy Perry – he has put in hours at the studio helping make aspiring musicians’ dreams come true.

What Makes You Country Tour

Luke just wrapped up his What Makes You Country tour on October 26 – just a few weeks before the CMA Awards. Along with Kip Moore, The Cadillac Three, Brothers Osborne, Granger Smith, Earl Dibbles Jr., Dustin Lynch, Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi, Morgan Wallen and Carly Pearce – he had fans all over singing right along with them.

Not to mention, the tour made for some very funny bloopers!

A Night To Remember

So when the CMA Awards needed an opening performer – they knew just who to call. In typical Luke Bryan fashion, he put on a heck of a good time while singing his hit song, “What Makes You Country.” His performance featured surprise guests, Luke Combs and Cole Swindell, Lindsay Ell, Jon Pardi, Ashley McBryde, and Chris Janson!

Luke explained that “When we began talking about this performance I thought this would be a perfect time to share the stage with a few deserving artists who may not otherwise have an opportunity to be a part of the show. This genre is full of talented performers doing what makes them country and this is the perfect song to let them step in the spotlight to be seen and heard by the millions tuning in.”

It is just like Luke to share the spotlight and help out fellow musicians – and give us all a killer performance! You can watch their performance below and let us know what you think in the comments!
